3D Game Production Escape Room Exercise: Modeling and Texturing

This was a project for a 3D game production class. In this project I was creating a collection of props for an escape room. A claddagh ring, a box that it opens, and a picture to act as a clue.

Ring is intended to feel like a family heirloom. Original plan was for the top to be stone, technical issues caused a pivot to just metal material and an extruded form
Blockout with props placed where they would be staged in game. The photo acts as a hint to the ring's significance. The box has an indent in the shape of the ring's details.
Tilt5 Game Mod Collaborative Exercise: Environmental Art and Level Design

In this class I was working with a team of four 3D molders and two Illustrators to create an interactive experience in the Tilt5 platform. I was responsible for vegetation. This was the first low poly project I have worked on, and the first time working with block color mapping.

VR Meditation Space:
Concept, Staging, Sound Design, Lighting

Project Description
A VR meditation/exploration space inspired by existing artists or works. My intention with this space was to facilitate a playful feeling for the viewer, childish, and call on the feelings of disassociating to provide a feeling of withdrawn lightness, feelings I often associate with meditation.
Interesting Obstacles
One obstacle I ran into was the method of upward movement. I didn't want an obvious set of stairs in the center of this structure but I wasn't sure how to present the idea that the player had to climb upward. I discovered a glitch in the Unreal's teleportation bounding boxes where if a player was close enough to another space they could teleport through the ceiling and onto the floor above them. I thought this was an excellent way to push that feeling of climbing to the stars without bulky and distracting props.

Refrence to an inspiring artist and their work

Callout sheet for the space.
Level sequencer recording flying around the space- the audio included in this recording is added after the fact to reflect what the audio would be while in gameplay.
Capstone Project: Game Design, 3D Modeling (Currently in Progress)
In this game you play as a cab driver ferrying world wearied passengers. Talk to them, learn about their lives, and collect trinkets they may leave behind. Or don't, keep your head down and do your job. Why would you care about random strangers?
This game is intended to be an exploration of life and experiences outside of your own sphere of existence. As the player you learn about these mysterious passengers and begin to see their impact on your life as you learn the value of connection.
